ARMIS attended the European ITS Congress and the NAPCORE Steering Committee meeting Copiar

May 26, 2025

Between May 19 and 21, 2025, ARMIS participated in the European Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), held in Seville, Spain.

The event brought together more than 3,500 participants, with more than 100 technical sessions and 120 exhibiting companies, debating technological solutions for cleaner, more resilient and connected mobility. Topics such as vehicle automation, artificial intelligence, 5G, data analysis and European sustainability policies such as the Green Deal and the European Intelligent Mobility Strategy were discussed.

ARMIS participation
Five ARMIS employees were present: César Neves, João Montenegro, Lígia Conceição, Pedro Barradas and Sara Linhas. The company had an active presence at the stand of the NAPCORE project, which has been leading Working Group 2 (WG2) since 2021, focusing on interoperability and levels of service (LoS) of National Access Points (NAPs).

ARMIS also took part as a speaker in two sessions dedicated to NAPCORE. Lígia Conceição took part in the session “The Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation and New Implementing Acts”, presenting contributions such as the Data Quality Framework and the Alternative Fuels Demonstrator. João Montenegro took part in the session “The Biggest European Project on Mobility Data - Achievements and Future”, highlighting the main results of WG2 under the leadership of ARMIS.

At the same time, Pedro Barradas took part in the “Digital Mobility and ITS Conference for Western Balkans”, taking part in the session “Autonomous Vehicles and Smart Road Infrastructure”, where he addressed the challenges and requirements for autonomous, connected and cooperative mobility (CCAM).

NAPCORE Steering Committee meeting

On May 22, ARMIS took part in the last face-to-face meeting of the NAPCORE Steering Committee, which marks the end of the current phase of the project, scheduled for June 2025.

During the meeting, the main results were presented and the strategy for continuing the project in the new phase, starting in July, was discussed. ARMIS, as leader of WG2, presented the main milestones achieved, including the NAP reference architecture, the interoperability demonstrators and the service level assessment tool.
