The event is organized by IMT - Instituto da Mobilidade e dos Transportes and takes place on May 14 in Lisbon.

Automation and connectivity promise to be, along with decarbonization and digitalization, the main vectors for transforming the mobility and transport sector over the next decade. However, as demonstrated by the poor performance in the first Autonomous Racing League (A2RL) race at the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi, not even supercomputing combined with all the sensors and high-resolution cameras can give vehicles the ability to adapt to many different environments. In particular, in the context of a closed circuit, we're talking about analyzing the temperature of the tires and the track, the strength and direction of the wind, atmospheric conditions, and even the amount of fuel on board.

Results like these raise questions about the maturity of current technological solutions and the ability to successfully integrate them into our daily lives in the short term.

With this in mind, on May 14, between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., at the Pavilhão do Conhecimento in Lisbon, ARMIS will be present at the Cycle of Meetings organized by the IMT - Instituto da Mobilidade e dos Transportes. Under the motto "Automation and Connectivity: Mobility in Evolution", Pedro Barradas, CSO of ARMIS ITS, will contribute to the round table discussion - Challenges and solutions for the next 10 years.

This second edition of the IMT Cycle of Meetings aims to bring together the main national players to discuss the future of mobility in Portugal and the path to be taken to build a safe environment for the introduction of technologies, products, and solutions capable of promoting greater autonomy and connectivity in this area, developing and following new regulatory frameworks that go beyond the traditional regulatory framework of the transport sector.

Alongside universities, innovation centers, and public entities, we are continuing our journey to qualify the national innovation ecosystem for intelligent mobility - a subject that is on the agenda of European policies.
