Adapting cities to more efficient and sustainable mobility

We believe that intelligent mobility starts with informed strategy. In an era of constant change across all sectors and services, cities and mobility operators need more than just technology - they need to define clear and effective strategies to achieve sustainable and intelligent mobility goals.

By aligning strategic vision with technical expertise, we deliver tailored guidance that helps each client navigate the most effective path toward their mobility goals.

Strategic Planning for Intelligent Mobility

We design ITS master plans and architectures that align strategic goals with practical implementation, ensuring sustainable and future-ready mobility systems.

Expertise in European and Global Initiatives

With a strong presence in ITS initiatives, we actively contribute to the development of mobility standards, ITS architectures, and digital infrastructure guidelines.

Enabling Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems

With active participation in Cooperative-ITS projects, enabling the large-scale deployment of C-ITS services across Europe, we support the transition to more advanced services including connected and autonomous mobility.

Driving Sustainable Urban Mobility

We contribute to the digitization, management and enforcement of Low and Zero Emission Zones, promoting cleaner, smarter, and more livable urban environments.

what we do
At the forefront of intelligent mobility
Building blocks for digital transport infrastructure
Guidance on how to build a sustainable digital infrastructure, taking advantage of the most advanced knowledge resulting from the main European initiatives underway (TN-ITS, DATEX II, C-ITS), to provide added-value recommendations.
Sandboxing enhanced mobility
We build our competences by continuous learning and working hand-in-hand with the research and scientific community.
Intelligent mobility strategy & planning
We support mobility services and operators in increasing their planning and operational efficiency by providing intelligent, integrated software solutions. We also contribute to cleaner mobility by integrating tools that promote the use of cleaner energy sources and more sustainable travel options.
EU Policy development foresight
Embracing digitalization holds the key to modernizing the entire transport and mobility landscape. We empower cities to adopt and implement sustainable solutions in a structured and impactful way - not just by offering guidance, but also tools that promote cleaner mobility.

Creating new ways of mobility

We specialize in designing, planning, and delivering intelligent mobility solutions. From ITS Master Planning to defining robust ITS Architectures and adopting advanced standards for efficient data exchange, our goal is to build a smarter, more connected and sustainable future. We aim to pioneer dynamic digital transport infrastructure and contribute to innovative urban mobility strategies tailored to meet the demands of tomorrow.

Cities adapted to the Digital Era

We focus on building sustainable and intelligent mobility ecosystems by combining strategic planning with technical consistency. Our work lays the foundation for long-term, efficient transport solutions that respond to today’s challenges and anticipate tomorrow’s needs.

We align our approach with the United Nations priorities for more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable cities. Through technology and strategic mobility planning, we help cities evolve into digitally integrated, future-ready ecosystems enhancing public service delivery, enabling sustainable transport modes, and improving quality of life.

Fully aligned with international frameworks such as Sustainable Urban Mobility Planning (SUMP) indicators and EU urban mobility policies, we ensure our mobility strategies reflect real-world concerns, from climate change and accessibility to road safety and economic resilience. Our work is not only about efficiency, but about driving meaningful progress on the global urban agenda.

A partner who makes you move forward

We actively participate in European projects to support ITS) policies, collaborating with road authorities, operators and other stakeholders. On behalf of Portugal, ARMIS acts as a technical consultant, contributing to the development of norms and standards such as DATEX II, facilitating the exchange and support of traffic information throughout Europe. Additionally, our involvement in NAPCORE and the establishment of National Access Points (NAP) aims to make transportation data more accessible and accurate to provide real-time information to users.

In the realm of autonomous and connected mobility, we apply advanced communication protocols to enable seamless interaction between vehicles and infrastructure. By integrating innovation and practicality, we shape the next generation of mobility solutions.

Armis led and took part in European projects to support the effective implementation of UVARs. In UVAR Box, coordinated by Armis, over 500 UVARs - mainly Low Emission Zones - were digitised into machine-readable formats. In UVAR Exchange, we supported the alignment of physical and digital signage to ensure clear and consistent communication for citizens and across borders.

NAPCORE

NAPCORE is an EU-funded initiative focused on harmonising mobility data exchange across Europe by strengthening National Access Points (NAPs). ARMIS played a strategic role in this effort, leading activities related to the interoperability and levels of service of NAPs, and driving the development of tailored data quality frameworks for specific use cases, resulting in more reliable, interoperable and user-oriented mobility data across Europe.
