ARMIS participated in the two-day DATEX II Technical Board meeting, joining experts from across Europe to contribute to the evolution of one of the continent's leading standards for interoperable traffic and mobility data exchange.
With over 20 years of legacy, DATEX II underpins the exchange of interoperable mobility data across Europe and supports several European Commission regulations on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). Its evolution is currently aligned with NAPCORE, the European initiative coordinating National Access Points (NAPs) to enable more harmonized, interoperable, and accessible mobility data sharing.
During the meeting, Technical Board members focused on the technical evolution of DATEX II, including the management of change requests and corrections, work item planning, release planning, and alignment with the formal change management process. Discussions also covered technical coordination with the European Committee for Standardization (CEN), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and the organisational structure of NAPCORE.
ARMIS's participation reinforces its position as an active contributor to the European intelligent mobility ecosystem. By taking part in the Technical Board, the company contributes to the discussions surrounding the evolution of standards that support interoperability, collaboration, and innovation in the mobility and transport sector.
The meeting brought together representatives from Germany, Austria, Czechia, Cyprus, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and ERTICO.
