It takes place annually and aims to be an exhibition of teaching and research activities of the Department of Computer Engineering (DEI) of FEUP.

In the 2020 edition, the "DEI Open Day" took place virtually on July 24th, but even so it promoted interactions with those in charge of the research laboratories and courses, through guided visits to the Computer Engineering Department.

Carlos Costa, Chairman of ARMIS, participated in the panel discussion: "Towards an ecosystem of collaboration between universities and companies", where models of sustainable collaboration between the University and industry were on the table. He was joined by Benjamim Júnior from Bright Pixel, Gonçalo Sá from Natixis, Ricardo Araújo from OutSystems, Miguel Filipe from Unbabel and had Gabriel David (DEI/FEUP) as moderator.

During the event, thematic debates and informal conversations were promoted that sought greater proximity between industry and society.
