Between 27 and 28 of September 2018, ARMIS hosted a NAP (National access Point) meeting, gathering different European governmental and roadway authorities, operators and other stakeholders in the transports field. 

This meeting focused on discussing sub.activity 4.6 – “Monitoring and harmonization of NAPs” which aims at monitoring the on-going implementation of National Access Points (NAPs), learning from each other and harmonizing NAP services across Europe.

Currently NAPs are being implemented in various Member States, but they vary in approach, data availability (links, metadata, database), assessment of compliance, among others.

 NAPs are efficient but secure data ecosystems that gather transport related data such as Safe and Secure Truck Parking, Safety Related Traffic Information (SRTI), Real Time Traffic Information (RTTI), Multimodal Travel Information Services (MMTIS) and facilitate the access, easy exchange and reuse of this data, in order to help support the provision of EU-wide interoperable travel and traffic services to end users.
