The app allows blind people to feel the energy of their team's matches
Developed by ARMIS Digital Sport and idealized by Jesus Suarez Lopez, the Escoita App has brought a revolution for the inclusion of visually impaired people in sports. The app can narrate and bring all the audio aspects of the field to a digital platform and in real time, so that everyone can have a true experience of the match.
ARMIS DS is proud to announce that the Escoita App was chosen as the best Information Technology project with Social Benefits in 2021. The goal is precisely to unite accessibility and technology, allowing all fans to fully enjoy what the experience of a physical event of their favorite sport is all about.
The nomination was instituted by the "Coléxio Oficial and the Asociasión de Enxeñeiros de Telecomunicación de Galicia" (COETG-AETG), in Spain, in collaboration with the "Axencia para la Modernizacíon Tecnolóxica de Galicia (Amtega).
The celebration ceremony took place on October 22nd during the Galicia Telecommunications Awards in Santiago de Compostela.
